Laguna Beach, CA - Known for fearlessly taking on sacred Christian cows, author, pastor, songwriter and Jesus-music visionary John Fischer welcomes fellow slayer Os Guinness, on The Catch, tonight, April 8 at 9:00pm Eastern / 6:00pm Pacific at www.BlogTalkRadio/The Catch, or available via podcast after the show on iTunes.

Guinness's new book THE GLOBAL PUBLIC SQUARE: Religious Freedom and the Making of a World Safe for Diversity, solidifies him as one of the foremost religious-liberty thinkers of our time. "Os is a man who stands between the worlds of scholarship and ordinary life," says Fischer, "particularly when advanced modern life touches on the profound issues of faith."

Fischer's featured guests on The Catch include Tony Campolo, Leonard Sweet, Chuck Smith Jr., George Barna, and Rebecca Bender. These guests and other Christians in the culture will provide insights into issues such as: what wrong beliefs are being kept alive regardless of the costs; why we need to step away from the sacred trappings of a moderated Christian religion and its subculture; what are our solutions for freeing women in our own backyards who are being traded for sex; how our culture is being reframed because of the absence of Dads in our children's lives, what is Hollywood doing with the Christian message; and how to abandon the safe world we have tried to create and maximize our faith.

"Our guests love the Lord," says Fischer, "and will seek to urge us to take a stand for the gospel and engage the culture around us with faith free from all the trappings of a 'religious' subculture."

Each week, Fischer promises to create a provocative show featuring noteworthy guests who discuss what it means to live fearlessly in faith. Live listeners are encouraged to participate in the conversation via social media. The Catch airs every Tuesday night at 9pm Eastern at blogtalkradio.com/thecatch. All episodes are also podcast and archived on iTunes.

ABOUT JOHN FISCHER
Fischer is dedicated to creating bridges between those within the church and those out beyond its walls, that Christians might rise up in the marketplace with a sense of inclusiveness, diversity, and acceptance.

As an ordained minister, John's stubbornly faith-based career spans over forty years of distinctive ministry, first as a singer/songwriter, recording artist and pioneer of Jesus Music, and as a best-selling author and popular speaker.

John's body of work includes 12 albums, 15 books, and numerous articles for a variety of publications including Christianity Today, Relevant magazine, Guideposts, Decision, Moody, senior writer for Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Life, and online with Charles Colson's Breakpoint.org and was an award winning columnist for Contemporary Christian Music magazine (CCM) for over 23 years. For more information, follow Fischer on Twitter at @fischback, or see his website, http://catchjohnfischer.wordpress.com/

ABOUT THE CATCH MINISTRY
The Catch Ministry is dedicated to reaching everyone, everywhere with the Gospel of Welcome. With biblical truth interwoven into the fabric of personal daily stories, the Catch's focus is more on how faith has many faces, how the law can live in the same room with mercy, how the body has many parts, and therefore, how we can learn to disagree without disconnecting.
